Central Railway Recruitment Notification 2016 – Apply Online for Cultural Quota Posts

Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Central Railway, Mumbai has announced notification for the recruitment of Cultural Quota vacancies for the year 2015-2016. 1.Western Instrument Player (Guitar/ Keyboard): 01 post
2. Indian Classical Instrumental Player (Harmonium/ Violin/ Santoor/ Sarod): 01 post

Age limit: Candidates age should be between 18-29 for UR, 18-32 years for OBC, 18 to 34 years for SC/ ST candidates as on 01-01-2016. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules. Refer the notification for complete details.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have 10 + 02 or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate from a recognized Board for both posts & Certificate from Trinity College of London (Rock School)/ ABRSM (Associate Boards of Royal School of Music, London). Must have passed Grade three and above in Guitar Playing for Western Instrument Player, Diploma/ Degree/ Post Graduation in above specified instrumental music form from recognized University for Indian Classical Instrumental Player.

Selection Process: Selection will be based on Written Test followed by a Practical Demonstration.

Examination Fee: Candidates should have to pay of Rs. 100/- for UR & OBC Male candidates in the form of Indian Postal Order (IPO) from any Post Office, drawn in favour of Senior Personnel Officer (Recruitment), Central Railway, Mumbai, Payable at Mumbai. There is no Fee for SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen/ Persons with Disability (PWD)/ Women/ Minorities and Economically Backward Classes (whose annual family income is less than 50,000/-).

How to Apply: Eligible candidates may apply online through the website www.rrccr.com from 22-12-2015 at 09:30 hrs to 06-01-2016 at 23:30 hrs & Send the Print out of the duly filled in online application form. Put the signature and LHTI in the space provided (Do not sign in capital letters), affix the latest passport size coloured photograph and sign across it, write down the paragraph in the space provided in candidates own running handwriting, enclose the required documents (self attested) along with the IPO (wherever necessary) and forward the same to RRC/ CR in the following address by Post or drop in the drop box kept Senior Personnel Officer (Recruitment), CPO office, 1st Floor, GM Building, Central Railway HQ, CST, Mumbai – 400 001. (The envelope containing the application with enclosures should be super scribed as “Application Against Cultural Quota 2015-16)” on or before 21-01-2016 at 18:00 hrs & For Remote Areas on or before 05-02-2016 at 18:00 hrs.
